The number one cause of damage by hair extentions is caused during the removal process by untrained and inexperienced hair stylists. During the removal process, an alchohol based solution is applied on top of the bonds. A pair of hair pliers are used to break down the bonds at the area of attachment, then it is gently slid off the natural hair strand. If not removing diligently, the hair pliers can cut your natural hair. An experienced hair extension specialist will know to be extremely cautious during this process to maintain the integrity of your own natural hair. Along with giving you a full consultation, before and after photos from a professional portfolio should be shown.
